This shoot was one of the most fun things I have been able to do professionally this past year. It was a TON of work to pull off--like planning a mini-wedding, and NOT for the faint of heart, but being surrounded by fellow amazing like-minded creatives (plus the killer final product that I am SO PROUD OF) made it all too worth it.

ENGAGEMENTS // Downtown Houston Old Hollywood Glam Engagements at the Char Bar and City Park | JOHN + COURTNEY
Meet John and Courtney. Not only are they two gorgeous, intelligent and successful humans, but they are also very much in love, and very much loved by all of those around them. They are the pair you want at the party and the duo you want on your side. He adores her and it is easy to see she is her happiest self with him. They are comfortable together, easy to laugh, and full of lover's secrets and stories.
I loved the morning we all spent together. Laughing, hanging out, and making art-ish things--capturing memories, moments, and painting a picture of their love. I am so looking forward to their wedding in January!
It's the lover's secrets, sideways glances, and knowing touches that leave me lost in the moments I find through my lens. These two are deeply appreciative of each other and their place in one another's lives, and that gratitude is displayed without hesitation. They cherish their laughter, inside jokes, mutual hotness, and the general goodness of just being with your person.
ou know those weddings you know you will never forget? Well, this was one of them. Since I first met Masha (and realized we had like 5,000 of our favorite friends in common), I couldn't wait for their wedding. Masha is the most loving, easy-going, darling little being I may have ever come to know. And Jeremy is just one of the guys--cool, equally chill, and madly in love with his Masha. The wedding was 100% about friends, family, food, good times and LOTS of dancing. This is one of those dancing crowds that keep you grinning from ear to ear all night.
NUPTIALS // Houston Urban Warehouse Post-Wedding Session+ PROS and CONS of a Post-Wedding Session | AUSTIN + KAYLI
THE PROS AND CONS TO A POST-WEDDING SESSION //
These are my favorite. You meet up at a location after your wedding and have something similar to an engagement session, but in your wedding attire! You can go as simple, or as all out as you want with this! Many brides are now electing to do Post-Wedding Session with their fiance/groom instead of the traditional bridal session. Although the session will definitely be focused on both of you, we will also take some more traditional portraits of each of the Bride and Groom alone. Brides will often do hair + makeup again, and even sometimes a bouquet. We have brought decor from the wedding to the session to incorporate the wedding them in to the post-wedding session as well. There are so many advantages to this approach, but there are a few items you may want to consider!
I love proposals. I really do. It combines my love for photography and my intrigue with espionage--an interest I seldom have the opportunity to indulge! All the secretive planning, awaited anticipation, quiet movements, long lenses, blending in, and ultimate surprises.
These two are so adorable, so in love, and just so content to be with each other. Love is a beautiful thing, folks.
Enjoy! And super-congrats to Rocky + Annii... A lifetime of Goodness to you two.
These two are probably the most happy, in-love, easy-going pair I have come across in a while. When we first met, Madeline's smile had my heart. She is genuine and optimistic, and easy to adore. Which explain's John's absolute admiration of her. They speak to each other with kindness and from a deep friendship that I know will stand the test of time.
