These two are probably the most happy, in-love, easy-going pair I have come across in a while. When we first met, Madeline's smile had my heart. She is genuine and optimistic, and easy to adore. Which explain's John's absolute admiration of her. They speak to each other with kindness and from a deep friendship that I know will stand the test of time.
I can finally share these photos because Ms. Amy is now finally Mrs. Bryant! Amy is beautiful, intelligent, hilarious, and so down to earth. I have known her most of my life, but--ash childhood goes, she was always so much younger than me. Yet all of a sudden, she graduated, got engaged, and became an adult and someone I would love to be able to hang out with! Age has a funny way of seeming less of a thing.
He is a youth minister and she is a nurse. He makes her laugh, and she keeps him on track. He loves vintage comic books and super-heroes, and she couldn't find his playfulness any more adorable. This is one of those couples everyone wants to be friends with. Ben + Lindsay are a guaranteed good-time and great laugh. They are both extremely intelligent, well-read, humble, and thoughtful.
I have been so proud and honored to watch my sister and Chris become parents. They have been so gracious, thoughtful, strong and loving. Aubrey has been an incredible preggo--she has displayed poise, strength and grace at each stage. The little baby girl, Via Lee, is growing strong inside her tummy, surrounded by family and friends that can't wait to welcome her to this world.
They would have a church wedding. Peach and teal were splashed about as she slipped into her dress. The dress fit like a glove, and her and her grandmother created the sash that would slip around her waist. Her bridesmaids giggles as they watched people arrive and finish last-minute tasks throughout the church and on the back patio, where they would have the reception. The wind was strong and bright summer storm clouds rolled in just before the ceremony. It was a Texas spring afternoon, but the breeze brought in with it a coolness that only heightened the anticipation. The church pews filled and the sweet ceremony began. These two young lovers brought a fresh sense of youth to the congregation.
They showed up to the shoot with a Mary Poppins bag, and we spent the afternoon making our way through the trove of toys--we set up the bubble machines, brought out a few of the fun umbrellas, and even took some time to fly kites. I genuinely enjoyed getting to know this family that makes vegan pizza, gets their son off the bottle by playing a modified version of the drinking game Waterfalls, teaches their 2-yr old to read, and has built a family that can appreciate a good Sumarai noodle bowl.
The ceremony was situated just aside a gently rippling creek. The grass was almost neon green, and the leaves rustled gently, almost to the tune of bumbling stream. A cool breeze brushed past the pavilion where Blake and Lorissa said their vows. As people began to arrive, final details and decor were being placed out. The band was practicing, the boys were in the back room toasting, and the girls were applying a final coat of lip color and checking out the window to watch the guest find their seats.
